Excerpt from Chapter 12 – “A Report from Mexico”:

MISS CAROLINE AND DR. AND Mrs. Donaldson were
savoring a glass of French wine after dinner in the newly decorated
dining room at the Triple R ranch. It had been a pleasant
evening for Caroline and her guests as they described their visit
to the silver mining district of Fresnillo in central Mexico.

“We had an excellent visit to the Fresnillo area,” Dr. Donaldson
began. “Our host, Senor Alberto Gomez is a graduate of the
Colorado School of Mines and speaks and understands English so
communication was never a problem. Senora Gomez hosted
Helen on several trips to the city and outlying villages where
some of the finest silver jewelry is made by hand. The workmanship
of the silversmiths is some of the best I’ve seen anywhere and
prices are very attractive. Christmas gift giving is going to be very
easy this year.” Helen Donaldson nodded in agreement and
added, “This was one of those few times that I enjoyed the trip as
much as my husband.”
